Opportunities for All (OfA) is a Chicagoland non-profit education and empowerment organization that focuses on helping students, parents, teachers, and communities succeed through unique, identity-affirming learning experiences. OfA’s goal is to create forward thinking student, parent, and community leaders through transformational and innovative educational and cultural experiences. OfA accomplishes this goal via Student Out-of-School Time Programming, Teacher Professional Development, and Parent and Family Academic, Arts, and Empowerment Workshops at 35 schools across 7 school districts.
OfA is looking for Teaching Artists to join its growing team at schools in the Chicago, North Chicago, and Waukegan areas. OfA works with before, after-school, and Saturday programs at both the elementary and high school levels. We are interested in hiring outgoing, energetic, and dedicated, Teaching Artists looking to make a difference in the lives of young people.
We have immediate openings for Teaching Artists looking to work from 2-5 days per week, from 3pm to 5pm/6pm. Bilingual skills are a major plus and previous experience is preferred, but not required. Rates of pay range from $30 to $45 per hour. Work at our school partner sites is stable as we offer year-round programming, with only a small break in mid-August to mid-September. School sites are currently based on the southwest side and northwest side of Chicago, North Chicago, and Waukegan. We also are expanding to schools in Summit, Berwyn, and Bensenville.
*Experience preferred, but not required
